Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialize!
Answers: I have been doing this all night and would like to know why!
It's not that something new will appear, I think we are waiting for our brains to click on something we see in there that will say, 'now that is what I want!'
I've been feeling really down, and your question actually made me laugh out loud :-). But I don't really know why people do this, though :P. I think we're hoping we've over-looked something :D.
Haha, this is a fabulous question. This made me smile too (and I needed it, just as the above poster)
I did that myself this evening. I had some delicious cake at a party earlier in the day, and so when I got home, I went looking for something equally tasty. No luck, there wasn't anything decent. I think you just keep hoping *something* will satisfy your craving.
In our prehistory we didn't stray far from any found carrion
or whatever unexhausted food source was at hand nor was it wise to let it get too ripe. Respect your instincts and always
smell the dairy before eating.
I think it's a habit. Sometimes I open up the fridge, and at other times, it will be the pantry.
Been guilty of that alot. Especially when i was a teen & even now when i visit my parents im guilty of going to the fridge & making at least 1 sandwich & a glass of milk to hit the spot.
Iced Tea.
i go to make my school luch in the morings and look in the fridge, walk away and come back later stiill findinf nothing
maybe we do this because we have high hopes we might have missed something dureing our first 700 stares
I don't have an answer for that, but I wanted you to know that your question made me laugh because I have a really bad habit of doing that!
