Why do I get sick after eating pasta??!

Question: Most of the time when I go out and eat pasta, I get a sick, queasy feeling about 30 minutes - an hour after I finish eating. Sometimes it's even caused me to wake in the middle of the night and throw up.

Why is this?

Why is this?

Depends what type of pasta sauce you are eating, if it is creamy like carbonara for eg. it's cream based and that always makes me feel sick cos of the fat in the sauce its too rich in flavour, it may also be how much you are eating as well..

i feel squeamish too after eating pasta....
thats why i hate it...

and my family already hates me for this :-(

You may be allergic

You have an allergy to one of the ingredients.

Oh that's awful, so sorry. You might have a wheat or gluten allergy. That would certainly explain it.

Go see an allergist and get tested for food allergies. It could also be an allergy to the sauce, or maybe if you always eat it with marinara (red) sauce, your stomach can't handle the acidity of the tomatoes.

i think ur body react 2 gluten so Dr. Blake says DON'T EAT PASTA!! (its a good idea)

A possilbe wheat alergy I would suspect. Do you have the same recaction after eating bread, cereals?

You could have gluten intolerance.

I have know other people with the same problem. Some people have celiac disease, which is an intolerence to wheat, but if you eat bread with no problem, that would not be it. See article below. You could try some gluten free pasta...can find it in a health food store.

If it's not because of the Gluten or the sauces it may have become just a psychological thing. You've been sick before from pasta, you expect/fear becoming sick so you make yourself sick (by accident of course!).
