Is it true watermelon is mainly just water and not a lot of fruit?!

Question: Although native to central Africa, the watermelon was first grown by ancient Egyptians and is believed to also have been cultured in Asia minor, Russia, and the Near and Middle East thousands of years ago. 80% of the weight, other than the rind, is water, from what I have heard

Yummy watermelon! Its mostly water, since the name. LOL

There is a lot of 'fruit' in a watermelon, but it is mainly water.
If you were to peel and deseed one, then crush you will get some pulp and a lot of liquid.
That liquid will be predominantly water, but you would have to use some kind or separator to work out how much.

Watermelon consists of 92% water and 8% sugar

idk

yes it's true. try freezing a piece and see what you're left with.

I'd call it good, healthy water.
