Is horseshoe crab (meat) a delicacy in the USA?!

Question: Are horseshoe crabs' meat edible?

Answers: Are horseshoe crabs' meat edible?

I think they are protected by law because they are scavengers and help clean up the beach/water. I don't think there would be too much meat on them anyway.

not that i'm aware of

Its not legal in New England

They have no real meat, but they areusing there blood for research into cancer and arthritis medications

Why ask if it's a delicacy if you're not sure it's even edible?

No-- they're not edible.

Horseshoe crab meat is not a delicacy in the USA.
There are edible parts of the horseshoe crab, but the meat-to-shell ratio is very small and in the United States it is not considered as a food source.
