How do i pick a ripe, ready-to-eat avacado?!

Question: Avocadoes start out dark green and turn to a deep purple. When they are a deep purple, give it a little squeeze and it should be slightly firm but dented. If the peel is black and really soft to squeeze its really ripe. I prefer the firm/ripe stage.

Squeeze it, if it's soft, it's good to go.

you grab it and then... rip it off the vine

Softness,don't squeeze to hard.
To speed ripening put in a paper bag with peel of citrus fruit orange is good, the formaldehyde released ripens them.

avocados do not ripen on the tree, they are usually not ripe at the market but people insist on squeezing them to death at the store and bruising them, Buy them at least three days before you plan to use them, put them in a paper bag with an apple and they will ripen. in there.
