Did u know that in certain countries water is carried on the head as a means of transport?!

Question: In third world countries this is and was a means of carrying water. e.g. from a river. A cloth is wrapped a certain way and placed on your head and the container with water is put on top of cloth. Some people can walk without holding container for miles, or some people hold container on head so it doesnt fall off.

yes - have known this since i was a child as have most people i would imagine

yes.

Why dont these black people simply build mudhuts next to the waters edge so they dont have to walk so far with buckets of water on their heads?

ha ha ha ha ha, that made me laugh. Yes I did know people carry water like that, but you have phrased your question so that it sounds like they can use it as a means of transporting themselves, rather than just transporting the water.
