Can you freeze apples???!

Question: I mean WHOLE apples, not sliced one, but whole. I found out yesterday that i can freeze banana's as well. So can you freeze banana's whole, not peeled, just like (i am hoping i can do) with my apples??
oh, and i'm gona be more of pain because i do know that while Oranges are on the tree, they CANNOT be frozen because they go bad, but is that true for them all the times, no matter what??

Frozen bananas are wonderful! I always peel them, slice them into smaller one or two bite size bits and put them in a zip top bag to freeze. They're not very good defrosted though, so make sure to eat them while still frozen. Once they defrost they're really only good for things like banana bread.

Apples, I'm sure, would freeze just fine but the defrosted version might be a little gross. Much like the banana, the defrosted version would be rather mushy and only useful for making apple sauce or as an ingredient in something.

I've never tried to freeze and orange (though dehydrated ones are dreadfully strong). I'd think that if you juiced it and froze the juice it would be fine. If you just froze it whole, upon defrosting I'd think the juice cells would burst and it'd be kind of messy.

no

Yes - why not - what do you want to use them for after - cooking?
You might want to core them ;-)

Yes, you can freeze a whole apple ... why would you want to? It will take a while to thaw and won't be good for anything but apple sauce. That is why you see them dehydrated, canned, or already cooked and frozen - not just plain, frozen, apple slices. If you can find frozen apples, they will have additives and preservatives.

You can freeze a whole banana but better to remove the skin. Much easier to peel when fresh, frozen turns skin to mush.

You can freeze an orange but it will be good only for juice after that. Again, easier to peel and store in sections than whole. The reason they are no longer any good after freezing on the tree is because they are not yet ripe.

Hope this helps.
