What kind of peppers are these?!

Question: There's this type of pepper that a family member used to grow in his garden, and I'm trying to find out what it is. I've been searching online and can't find anything.

They're about half an inch long, shaped like Christmas tree lights, are really colorful (red yellow, orange and green), and supposed to be really hot.

Does anyone have pictures or know what they're called?

They could be an "ornamental" pepper- unfortunately these are rarely labeled properly because they are sold decoratively even though they are a highly useful culinary pepper. I had an "ornamental" pepper plant that fits this description. You can usually purchase them out front at Wal-mart and various supermarkets when spring comes around.

maybe jalapenos or even habenaros

sound like jalapeno

does sound like ornamental peppers -
