Why does Captain Crunch cereal always cut my mouth?!

Question: Every delicious bite of Captain Crunch seems to leave my mouth in pain. Why?

Answers: Every delicious bite of Captain Crunch seems to leave my mouth in pain. Why?

I used to eat this cereal when I was a little girl and I remember the very same thing!!!! I DON'T KNOW!!! was it the sharp edges? The sugary coating? I finally had to change my brand...we had 2 other kinds of cereal back then called Quisp and Quake that I liked two..same thing..cut my mouth up and couldnt eat those...Fruit Loops did too...I think it's that hard, crystalized sugar coating...another reason to avoid sugary cereals I think...I don't eat sugared cereals anymore and my mouth does not feel like I had a bowl of razor blades for breakfast...yikes!!! Just remembering that awful feeling makes me hold my mouth in pain!!!!!

I guess you could say it has a sharp taste!

This question has been around for many years before yahoo answers was ever thought of. If you take big bites and don't chew with your teeth, yes, it will cut the roof of your mouth. Small bites. GOOD LUCK!!

it's possible the old captain is really a pirate and has left a little tiny hook in each morsel of his crunch.

that actually hasnt ever happened to me, or anyone that i know who eats it.
idk but maybe your mouth is sensitive so its cut easily

ME TOO!!! The roof of my mouth feels all weird after I eat Capn' Crunch. But lemme tell you, it's WORTH IT! Gotta have my Capn' Crunch. Maybe we have sensitive mouths..

it may be that captain crunch is too hard for your mouth...

it would be good if you soak it in the milk for a while before eating it..

but it may be too soggy by then ...:-)

or just eat in small quantity

Well why do Pringles always make my mouth sore......same principle.
