What does salsa taste good with??!


Question: You know what I do?

I mix salsa in with my hamburger meat and make patties and they make great hamburgers.

Salsa Grilled Fish


Ingredients:
4 salmon steaks, 1" thick each
Salsa
Directions:

GRILL salmon 10 min. or until done, turning once and brushing often with picante/salsa sauce.

Garlic Grilled Chicken

Ingredients:
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
3/4 cup Picante Sauce OR cup Pace? Thick & Chunky Salsa
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. lime juice
1/4 tsp. garlic powder OR 2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
Directions:

PLACE chicken between 2 pieces of plastic wrap. Pound chicken to 1/2" thickness, using meat mallet or rolling pin. Cut lengthwise into 1" strips.

MIX picante sauce, oil, lime juice, garlic powder and cumin. Add chicken and toss to coat.

THREAD chicken accordion-style on 8 skewers. Grill 10 min. or until done, turning and brushing often with picante sauce mixture. Discard remaining picante sauce mixture.

TIP: If using wooden skewers, soak skewers in water for 30 min. before using.

Chunky Salsa Cheesecake


Ingredients:
1 cup crushed tortilla chips
1/2 cup butter OR margarine, melted
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1 pt. sour cream
2 eggs
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1 jar (16 oz.) Cilantro Chunky Salsa
Directions:

MIX tortilla chips and butter. Press into bottom of 9" springform pan. Place in shallow baking pan.

COMBINE cream cheese, sour cream and eggs in bowl. Beat until smooth, using electric mixer at medium speed. Stir in cheese, onions, garlic and black pepper. Pour cheese mixture into prepared pan.

BAKE at 350°F. for 30 min. or until set. Cool cheesecake on wire rack. Refrigerate until serving time. Remove from pan.

TOP cheesecake with salsa and cut into wedges.
