DOES ANYONE KNOW?????

DOES ANYONE KNOW?????
The 'sell by date' is usually for the store who sells the meat. They have to sell it by the date mentioned, if not, take it off the shelf. Once you buy it, you could keep it in ur freezer for 6 months to a year. But if you are keeping it in the fridge, then I guess you should use it within a day or two. One tip of keeping meats fresh in the fridge (not freezer) is to marinate it with salt. Salt is like a preservative which keeps it fresh but I would still advise you to cook it within a day if in the fridge. Or make small separate packets of the meat and keep it in the freezer, so that you dont have to defreeze the whole meat.
I think it means if you are not going to cook it by that date, you had better freeze it.
Meats "sell by date" is the day the shop should sell it to you by, the use by date is when you should use the meat by. These dates are guidelines to tell you how fresh the meat is and when it is at its peak to use. I wouldnt buy out of date meat, but I have bought it on its end date of sale and either used it that day or frozen it, to extend the shelf life. The usage after the use by date is at your own discretion.
ALL meats have a "sell by date" on them, or should.
Most state use or freeze by the date posted.
I use mine by the day or day after, no longer.
I think its like a couple of days...
I dont cook much
