I know this is probably a dumb question but i am curious to know if there is salsa in England?!
ok im gettin carried away, just answer my dumb question and don't be snotty about it, i know its dumb.
Answers: lol, i live in Arizona ,we are bordering Sonora Mexico about half or more of our population is Hispanic so it makes sense that there are about 50 different types of salsa to choose from as well as a myriad of tortilla chips and Mexican spices at any grocery store. its one of those things that is just "that way" to me but i was thinking maybe there are places without salsa! like maybe in England for instance they have no salsa and instead they have ....i dunno maybe some strange french butter spread in 50 varieties. like butter i have never even heard of. have you ever heard of Salsa? salsa goes on tortilla chips...oh poo maybe you don't know what a tortilla chip is!!! maybe there's some food i don't even know about that is AMAZING and i will never know and you will never eat a delicious tortilla chip covered in fresh salsa! i have TO KNOW!

Ahh.. go on, let us be snotty... I've got loads of great stuff stored up!
Go to Tesco.com and check out what other things we have! It's a global village, mate, if someone makes it and someone else in the world wants it, then we can get it and usually do. England is a diverse place... we've got all sorts of people from basically everywhere in the world here. You'd be hard-pressed to find a "7-11" type store that didnt sell it in one form or another.
Salsa is almost definitely european in origin, though I am no expert in it at all - my bad... it's about 7000 years old and comes from central america... live and learn... it has gotten around though in that time!
No, Fred - get real.. we put it in Tea!
Yeh we do have salsa and tortilla chips. Tortilla chips are disgusting, they make me gag, yuk! But I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove salsa!!!
Hi Twist,
Salsa for the 1st. time in the history of condiments beat ketchup in sales( ketchup has always been number 1).
Salsa is all over the world.
( the civilized world that is)!
Haha, when i saw your question i thought you meant the dance! Yes, we have some Mexican food here but not to the extent that you guys have over there, as there aren't many Mexican immigrants. Salsa here in England is more like a tomatoey sauce that you dip your nachos in, but I've only seen that kind. What other types are there????
Of course, they put it on toast with jam and butter.
Heard of it??? I'm addicted to it. And tortilla chips. Don't know about french buttter though.
And I thought we had them all!
I make my own salsa sometimes but i don't use peppers because I don't like them! That's the reason why I make my own and don't get shop bought salsa.
Yes, you can buy salsa here. Look in the ethnic foods shelf of the supermarkets.
