Are you a bargain shopper..do you clip coupons..etc.?!
Answers: i a'm a bargain shopper...i always look for no name brands ..i also save coupons...kind of an addiction..clipping coupons
Of course! I didn't used to but then I seen this show on TV, well I don't remember exactly what it was but this woman was so obsessed with cutting coupons and stuff that after a day of grocery shopping, with two full carts, the amount she had to pay was only 5 dollars. So, I was amazed and have since done so myself.
I use no-name brands and name brands. The things is I am particular about certain things, that they must be name brand because I have tried the generic and didn't like. For instance, peanut butter. I have tried cheap versions but must have Jif to actually be able to enjoy it. Also, I'm hispanic and one of our main things in my family is that yellow rice w/ beans is served about 5 out of 7 nights a week. I have to use Goya products because I tried the store-brand version of beans and salsa de tomate and it changed the way the rice taste completely. So, I always look for coupons on Goya products as well as Peanut Butter (if Skippy is on sale, I'll buy that too. But I can't have that peter pan or store-brand version, taste bad to me).
As for generic brands, I can buy generic brand chips, pancake syrup, pasta sauce, soda, rice, cleaning supplies, etc. They don't usually have coupons for that, but they are usually very cheap. I got this 3 liter bottle of soda it's a brand called Waist Watchers, and I got it for 1 dollar. So, I brought about 6 of them, they were really good and had different flavors!
Don't clip coupons but I always hunt for bargains. The off name brands never have coupons available for them... and I refuse to buy the big name brands ... so therefore I don't clip coupons.
I never clip coupons and I always end up with a ton of stuff. I personally like the Wal-Mart brand. I can spend 200 a month on meat, canned stuff, lunch stuff, etc. that will last us all month.
Also, I bought that Reynolds thingie. It sucks the air out of their baggies, so i buy in bulk and freeze meat that way. And the big baggies are resealable, so we get big bags of pigs ina blanket, etc...frozen tater tots. No freezerburn what-so-ever!!
i am a super bargain shopper and use circulars for weekly specials but rarely clip coupons because i always for get to use them...... i saw a woman on the news that was crazy good at it.... was saving like 80% of her food bill...... grocerygame.com is the web site.... i have never been to it but i think it is all about saving on groceries/shopping
sure am, and yes you can save alot using coupons.
Bargin shopper. I clip coupons every chance I get. I save a couple bucks too. I sometimes shop in a vintage store by my house for jeans. Got 2 pair of bongo jeans for $3. They might of been worn but in great condition.
Sometimes, right now iam writing a book of how to get whatever you want for free....let me know if you want to know how...ok
Definitely!!! I'm a firm believer that my hard earned cash should stay in my pocket and not in the tills of the supermarkets.
By having offers like 'buy one get one free' or '3 for the price of 2' and no losing money, it's pretty obvious to me that paying the full price is already paying over the odds.
There are two grocers in this town,,
They calim it takes weeks to months to get their refunds.
.
The gas crunch ($3.76/gal) no longer allowes driving 56 miles to Safeway (they still have food bargans),, (112 mi round trip)
112 ÷ 20mpg = 5.6 gal @ $3.76 = $21.11
Cheer UP this is the fair market game...
I try too...
I clip coupons but always forget to use them before the expiration date. However, the 50 -75 cents that I save usually goes toward an impulse buy like candy or ice cream.
Or I'll buy in bulk & end up with too much excess of something that I won't use or eat. Example - the 5lbs of french fries that is still sitting in the back of my freezer since my last Costco trip back in Jan.
I don't think I'm saving much therefore I suck at bargain shopping!
