Bacon in the microwave - your thoughts and methods appreciated?!

Question: i want bacon and eggs for breakfast, but i'm feeling lazy. ive never had bacon cooked in the microwave. is it any good? is it worth it? should i do it? are there any other ways of doing it that are easy (other then pan frying)? and last of all, how do i do it?

ps. it is middle rashers, so its the roundish bit, with the long tailish bit attatched, and it has the thick thing all along the edge, i think its called the rind...

Do not cook bacon in a microwave it sucks you can never get that crispy thing going on... fry it on a stove like it's supposed to be done you will enjoy it more....

just put it on a bunch of paper towels and set it 1 minute per each slice of bacon.
delicious!

I often do bacon in the microwave, on a plate with paper towels to cover. or freezer paper works well too. But you can also do it in the oven on a cookie sheet. Less trouble, especially if you're cooking a lot of bacon.
ps It does get crispy in the microwave, but you have to watch it. I usually put a full plate of bacon in for 5 minutes and then add minutes til crispy.

Bacon in the microwave is how I prefer to cook bacon. I think it's just as good as frying, maybe a little healthier. If you don't have a bacon rack for your microwave, just use any plate. Lay paper towels under and over the bacon. Cook one minute per slice. You can also cook eggs in the microwave, if you want scrambled. Just fix them like you normally would and pop them in the microwave. I'm not sure how long, but if you watch them, as they rise up and become fluffy you should be able to tell when they are done. Happy eating!

many grocery stores now sell microwave bacon and it is crispy and good. You can not tell the difference. I use a microwave bacon platter that I got at walmart
Give it a try less than 5 min and you have enough bacon for 2 people

When i cook bacon, I usually fry it in a pan on the stove for a few minutes only, and afterwards i like to put it on a plate (with paper-towels) and microwave it for a while until it is more cooked. It usually comes out slightly crispy this way. I know that this method takes a longer time, and it will make more dirty dishes because of using the pan though, but i enjoy the bacon more this way : ].
