Hushpuppies?!

Question: what's in hushpuppies that make them so unique tasting?? (you know, those little round golf-size bread things they sell at long john silvers)

its corn meal, flour egg and baking powder... its the nasty fryer grease that makes them so yummy!!!

Not sure about long john silvers, but here in the south, cornmeal, egg, milk, sugar, chopped onions and jalapeno pepper sure do taste good!!
