Has a vegetarian ever tried to 'convert' you?!

Question: And does it piss you off? I'm a MEAT eater(how could you turn down a good steak?!?) and damn proud of it too, and i hate it when all these vegetarian hippes try to convince me to eat broccoli the rest of my life...anyone else feel the same way?

yes- this girl was seriously a veg head and she was telling me how great being a vegetarian was- and i was like shutup- I LOVE MEAT!!!

YES!

yes haha

i was vegetarian for about half a a year.

i ate chicken.
i missed it (:

i dont see me being veg anytime soon.

Yes..
I am thinking about 'converting'. ever sense i had dinner with my aunt and gram. My gram loves eating lamb, my aunt hates it and told me she cant eat it because she thinks of the poor lamb..
Poor lamb.

You're proud of eating steak? Wow. The earth has reached an ultimate low.

hmmm well ive never been told that but i have been thinking about eating at least 5 vegitarian dinners a week...i always feel so bad for the poor animals i eat...i will NEVER eat baby animals...I WILL NEVER EAT VEAL (aka torchered baby cow) OR LAMB!!!!!!!!

When vegetarians try to convert me I remind them that I'm a die hard meat eater and if they keep bothering me then I will toss them in BBQ sauce and eat them. With a nice side of veggies just to add add insult to injury.

I've had people talk to me about it but I grew up on a cattle farm so any one that knows me knows that it is an exercise in futility.

no i dont but if it pisses u off tell them to f*** off. but theyre doing it 4 a good cause so dont be too mean_)lol

I am a vegetarian and i dont try to get people to go veggie. and im a hippie, but it took me a while to go veggie i mean i am a hippie. but i sometimes eat meat if its a special ocassion but otherwise, i dont eat meat. and you dont have to eat vegetables for the rest of your life if you dont want to. and we cant eat just veggies we have to get our protein in some way.

ok look i am a vegetarian and i dont try to 'convert' all my friends but look they might just be giving their opinion...others are like you say and are pretty annoying...but it people would just *educate* themselves...*cough*

i had a girl friend in high school, her mom & her were vegetarians. they never tried to talk me into it but they did invite me over for dinner. she cooked meat for her husband but, it was awful. if that's all i ever had to eat, i'd convert too.

Yes and they despise people who slaughter any animal for food. I'm a meat eater through and through.

Yes... But I turned them down. :D Meat is too good and yummy... YUMMY!

I'm vegan but I don't try to convert any one. If some one questions my beliefs then YES I will defend them. If some one asks I will be more than happy to teach them. But you are just propagating a stereotype, we are not all hardcore fanatics but we will defend our decisions and our morals when confronted. Stop generalizing and stereotyping.

yeah my 2 friends are vegetarian
i could really care less if they like meat or not
thats their problem if they wanna eat terrible food for the rest of their lives
one of my friends said i hope you get mad cow disease from eating that hamburger and i responded.
im gonna laugh at you when you get ecoli poising from all those plants
its really annoying though

No one has ever tried to "convert" me. I made my own choice. Besides, those who are just telling you of their choice are just happy. Can't you just be happy for them? Also, I feel insulted, not just for me but for every vegetarian out there, by your choice of words. Conversion? This is not a religion but a choice on saving animals. In fact, each Vegetarian saves at least 100 animals each year. Hippies? Aren't you those stereotypical ones. Hasn't anyone told you that's bad? Or even aren't you old enough to know it is bad?
