I gave up smoking about 14 months ago and now want to tackle the substitute: alcohol. How can I drink less?!
Well for starters,,, quit smoking, if you do,,,,,, eat healthy and find other addictions, (healthy ones) to replace the habit(s) you do have.
God bless you

think of why you drink?
when you next want one, think about your feelings, where you are, who you are with etc..
try making a subsitution like some orange juice with a dash of ginger ale...
if its just having something in your hand for the sensation..
you just have to replace a bad habit with a good habit.. so start drinking selser water, or something else.. herbal teas... coffee.. etc.. chew gum.. just like smoking.. you have to take up that urge in other means...
Start by thinning out the drink with some other liquid until eventually you have no more alcohol.
well trade it off for another addiction.. go to the gym.
Giving something up cold turkey can't be easy, but you did it before, and you can do it again.. First maybe start off by buying some beer you don't like so much so you'll drink less of it. than maybe switch to non-alcoholic.
it's possible.
some say anti depressants help.. which might be something to consider if your drinking due to depression.
if your drinking cause your bored.. pick up a book.. people drink and watch tv, but who drinks and reads a book?
good luck
