a bucket of chicken and some mash potatoes so bring a big purse\

Granola bars, or those little sesame snap wafer thingies.
Random fresh fruit is good too, apples and oranges, etc.
Bagel with cream cheese is oh so satisfying and is prepared in a pinch.

You didn't mention whether you were concered about healthy or just looking for yummy snacks. I have started eating croutons, if you can believe that. They come in bags, complete with zip-loc at the top, they aren't huge, and they have all these yummy flavors like garlic-cheese and parmesan. You can find them next to the salad dressing in the grocery store.

Since they are "bread-y" they will fill you with a small amount and they are so DELICIOUS!!!!

Happy Snacking!

oops- you did mention whether you wanted healthy - i'm a bonehead! disregard my comment!

I mix dry-roasted peanuts, dried tropical fruit bits and yogurt covered raisins in a large jar; then carry small baggies of it in my purse ....plain dried fruit is good in baggies too ... individually wrapped string cheese ..... I also carry fruit roll-ups and fruit gummies to give my grandkids:)

Well, a perfectly healthy on the go kind of snack is Haribo's gummi bear packs, they're tiny and like 10 gummi bears to a pack. Really delicious! Oh and they are on the go packs of marshmallows like snack size if you like to eat marshmallows, I don't know if they're healthy though.

An assortment of dried fruit & nuts. Very tasty & very healthy!

At your grocery store, you will find tons of different snacks in the "100 calorie" packs that sound perfect for your situation. They are small portions, pre-packed and easily portible. You can choose from many of your favorite crackers, cookies, chips and snack mixes. I believe that many of these are of the "baked" variety, rather than "fried", so that fits your need as well. See below for some available brands and flavors.
