How to preserve a jar of mixed pickle dipped in oil? Room temp. or inside refrigerator.?!
Answers: I bought a jar of mixed pickle dipped in oil. Its made up of mango, lemon, chili etc. When i bought, it was not inside refrigerator. Now since i have opened it, how can i preserve it for longer time? Should i keep it in room temperature or should i put it inside refrigerator?
it can definetly be kept at room temp even after opened...trust me i have been eating pickles for years...and it haven't gone bad...btw they say that oil in it does the job...it keeps it fresh for a good amount of time. if u want the best taste i'd say keep it outside.
After an thing in oil or vinegar is opened it should be chilled, I have lime pickle, hot garlic pickle and half a tin of Bengali achar in my frig.
It is best to keep it cool as it can ferment, because some people, not yourself but some may use unclean utensils and this can cause issues, chilled is best.
You can keep it in room temp, it will not go bad

Some pickles go bad if not refrigerated.
Gongura pickle should be kept in fridge. But lime pickle, mango pickle, and mixed pickle can be kept outside.
Hmmm....slurp slurp....all this talk about pickles is really getting my juices flowing!!!
