I don't use flour very often, so when I buy it how should I store it?!

Question: Store flour in an airtight container to prevent absorption or loss of moisture. Place large bags in a big covered container. In hot, humid weather, buy flour in small amounts and keep in the refrigerator or freezer. Flour stored in a warm place, is likely to become infested with insects. Keep whole wheat flour in the refrigerator or freezer the year around. Natural oils cause this flour to turn rancid quickly at room temperature. Flour absorbs odors. Do not store near soap powders, medicines or other items with strong odors.

In a glass or metal tin.. sometimes they are labelled and you can find them at Target or someting.

Store it in an air tight container in a cool dry place.

Store it in an airtight container. I keep mine in the fridge to control moisture content

I keep it in a gallon ziplock bag in the fridge. I think the bag I have now is about 2 years old and it's fine.

store it in a air tight container and store it in your fridge

I store my extra flour in the freezer. It lasts for months. You don't have to worry about bugs getting into it. This can happen if it is not used right away and it is warm.

Flour comes out of the freezer and is ready to use. No lumps either.
