Is it ok to eat leftover salad the next day?!

Question: Does it lose any of its nutrients or anything?

Answers: Does it lose any of its nutrients or anything?

Most certainly, yes, if it's not drenched in dressing. That's why I usually dress my salad right before serving and only use enough for the amount of people that I am serving. But, hey, it's all happened to us before, so I found that when I'm heating up my hot deli-meat sub du jour, I just toss this leftover salad inside the sandwich and it's wonderful! Even if the leaves are a little soggy, wilted or lost it's crunchyness, it won't matter on a hot sandwich or folded into a quesadilla, You can even use it underneath a hot steak, grilled chicken breast or any other main protein, because the heat from the protein will seem like you meant to have that salad a little warm. Loss of nutrient value, I don't think so because you haven't done anything except chill it.............! Good Question!

It is perfectly fine to eat leftover salad. It is considered wasting food if you don't!

Its fine. It would taste nasty if the dressing soaked in and made it all soggy though.

yes, if the lettuce isn't wilted

yes! there is nothing wrong about tha salad is good for a while, exept if it has ranch on it or some dressing and then you let it sit over night and eat it! then it would be all soggy and...ewww! -mymy <3
