How long will uncooked rice last.??!
Answers: I found an unopened bag in my cupboard that I think might be up to 4 years old. There is no expiration date on the package. Nor is it microwave or the instant kind. I threw it away, I was just wondering for future knowledge?
good call. If it was 'microwave rice' then it actually has been cooked. Completely uncooked rice will keep forever (if in a sealed container). Rice is such a wonderful food!
if there are no worms or other kinds of infestation then u can use
depends whether is kept in a fridge or not?
as long as it is kept dry and the packing is not damaged or bug eaten, it is ok.
It is a dry food. If it was unopened then you could have used it. Once opened keep it in an air tight container to make it last longer.
Plain uncooked rice, asuming you keep it dry, can be kept for at least 5 years.
Of course, the best way to find out is cook a little, and smell it.
