The only proper way is use a "timer". Pop the egg into boiling water then 5 minutes exactly. Stop guessing and you will get it right. OK
4 minutes exactly
It takes a little longer if you keep your eggs in the fridge.

Here's another, maybe better, source, This includes softboiled eggs which I missed in your question the first time.

Around 6/7 minutes.
Hope I helped :)
4/5
put into boiling water for 3.5 mins - use a timer!!
they say a three minute egg is perfect, but if find that to be too runny... i'd go for boil for 3 min, remove from heat but leave in the water for 2 more min
Four mins
hi, i think the rule is: put it in cold water, bring to the boil and then boil for further 3 mins. if water is alread boiled and then you add the egg, you carry on boiling for 4 - 5 mins.
3.5 mins!
Depends on where you live (at what elevation you are at)
Depends on how you like it, as for me, 3 minutes.
BOIL OK when the water start boilng then count the time when you put the egg in water do not start counting the key word is boil good luck 10mins
This works every time:
Place the egg in a pan of COLD water, add a 1/4 tsp of salt.
Bring the water to a rapid boil, and time for 3 and 1/2 minutes.
Take the pan off the stove and empty as much hot water out as possible and fill the pan twice with running cold water. This stops it continuing to cook.
Perfect!
ok, put the egg in a pot with luke warm water, but turn the temp. to high. Wait till it boils, when it does add salt, wait 5MINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey there :)
Put the egg into a pan of cold water, bring the water to the boil, as soon as water starts to really boil time the egg for 3 minutes :)
Take care you, Lulu x
I time mine 10 minutes from the time I first put it on the stove. They always come out perfect
3 minutes in boiling water
a larger egg has a more porous shell and if you keep it in the fridge it will absorb any strong foods that are in there with it,a smaller egg is generally tastier, cook a medium egg for 3 mins exactly once the water comes to the boil that is,increase a minute for a large egg
