A sanitary question.?!
Answers: If you have either a plastic cup or a glass cup and someone pees in it.......if you wash it.......would you use it after that? or would you throw it away? and IF you would throw it away, then do you know of any sanitary reasons why it would never be clean again? or are you throwing it away more because the idea of drinking out of something that has been peed in is gross. Is there any way that you would save the peed in cup? Like is there a certain way that you would clean it, if you were going to keep it and use it? Thanks.
Well pee is completly sterile and germ-free (its just gross!). There is nothing in it that can hurt you.... you could drink pee and nothing would happen to you. So if you wash the cup there is no reason why you shouldnt drink out of it again.
i would definately clean that cup, and i would probably use it right afterwards of it being cleaned
Ew why do you want to know?
I would just toss it thts dis-gust-ing.
this sounds like it has an interesting story behind it.. ha
but i think it would be fine, just the thought of it is nasty.
Use a quarter cup bleach to one gallon of water. That will sanitize most anything.
It would depend on the cup. If it was my favorite cup then I would probably keep the cup, but maybe I would question why I let someone pee in it in the first place. If it is just a cup then I would toss it. It's a cup, if it is not valuable then I would definately quit worrying about it. ;)
Soak it in chlorox and hot soapy water.
Rinse well.
That ought to do it....
sentimental plastic cup???
Next time the critter that peed in it has a drink at your house, put THEIRS in a POTTY - ice and all!
Glass can't absorb thing like plastic, but i'd still throw it out, just because of the idea of it.
I would definitely toss it-- plastic absorbs smells while glass does not. So that plastic cup might end up smelling like urine. It might go away if you clean it with Clorox but I wouldn't want to drink out of something that has been washed with such a harsh detergent. Just stick to glass-- it is an inert medium and thus is safer than plastic. I'm sure that plastic cup didn't cost much anyway (it's only plastic), so just throw it out. No big deal.
