It sounds like a food allergy-I suspect soy, which is in most processed foods, and especially in things containing chocolate. Most chocolate is made with soy lecethin. Since most soy is genetically modified, many people are allergic to it. It COULD also be a wheat allergy, but I think soy covers the bases, since it happens with tea too-most commercial tea also has soy as a "natural" flavor. You can get some really good chocolate chips by Enjoy Life, which are soy free. You can get them at most health food stores-if they don't have them, ask them to order them for you. I am highly allergic to soy, so I have to avoid most chocolate, but lets face it-a girls just GOT to have her choccy! I make homemade stuff with it, and also use raw, organic cocoa powder for baking, drinks, etc. A spoonful of those chips will nip that craving straight away-they are yummy! In the meantime, start checking labels for soy, and avoid it as much as you can. Keep a food diary, to see what foods you react to within 36 hours of eating. (you can do a free, online diary at nutridiary.com or fitday.com) It should give you a clearer picture in just a short time. Its REALLY IMPORTANT to realize that any food allergy can go from being mild (itchy skin, etc), to serious (trouble breathing, asthma, anaphalaxis) very quickly. Its important that you identify your allergen, and avoid it, so you don't develop worse symptoms later. I learned this the hard way.

try all kinds of fruits, also nuts, and maybe some of those energy bars. i know there are bars that are sweet but with natural ingredients so they're healthier.
