Can one bruise ones fruits by over handling?!

Question: My Dear Sir, YES INDEED !!
this is often the case ... my melons are fresh and fruity and my BF can`t seem to get enough .. however, coincidentally, his big banana now seems totally battered and well-past its sell-by date.... The fruit COCKtail I had last night was a culinary delight that even Gordon Effin Ramsey would have been proud of ....... Sir, have YOU had your 5 a day ???!!
