Who else when little loved to eat......?!

Question: a sugar piece (sandwich)?

Answers: a sugar piece (sandwich)?

Yes, I had sugar sandwiches - no butter though, just sugar and bread.
I also had dripping on toast.
Looking back, these were awful things that I don't think anyone would eat now (?) - but we were a very poor family which might have had something to do with it.
By the way - you call it a 'piece' - are you from Scotland?

no not me

no sorry.. I loved peanut butter sandwiches

I used to eat sugar sandwiches all of the time.

I now have diabetes!!!

mmmm..i used to eat sweets all the time..(after i finished my dinner lol)

yea! a sugar sandwich with loads of butter.....if my kids looked for one of those i'd say no!!

A sugar sandwhich or Fairy bread. (Toasted Bread with sugar put on top and grilled) MMM especially good when ill.

Yucky, i dont like anything sweet on bread, not even jam.

my dad used to give us them when my mam wasn't there, and he used to put loads of sugar on our banana sandwiches too, and then my mam would wonder why we wouldn't eat them for her lol

I ate brown sugar sandwiches occassionally when tiny. Things were different then. And I am not fat now nor do I have diabetes.

My mum used to feed us on these.I think they're horrid, but when i told my daughter (age 8) she thought it was a great idea and is always asking me for one.

nope not me, i was more of a 'chocolate spread' sarnie girl if I'm honest (cant stand the stuff now, way too sickly!) but i bet it is quite nice, everything that's 'bad' for you usually is isn't it !!!

Never had sugar, but we almost always used to have a jammy piece when we got in from school.
