Banana mashed up with....?!
Answers: brown sugar and carnation milk was another of my childhood favourites. does anyone else have wierd childhood favourite foods?
My cousins loved what they called conneyonny butties. This was condensed milk spread on bread! Peter like bread and butter with white granulated sugar sprinkled on top. We shared our weird taste in toast, which was grilled but was NOT brown! Just dried out bread really.
I really liked eating uncooked rolled (porridge) oats with sugar and just enough milk to make them sloppy. Peanut butter with banana on toast was also a favourite of mine... And to drink: homemade fizzy lime. This was made with Rose's lime cordial made up with water as usual and then with half a spoon of bicarbonate of soda stirred in quickly. It was great on hot summer days. I even made the mistake of expecting the same to work with milk and was horrified to end up with a glass of sour milk when I tried!! LOL!!
Banana and marmite sandwiches.
mom used to slice up bananas put them in a bowl. Add milk and sugar.

My friends mom used to make sandwiches she called Chocolate Mush. It was Hersheys Cocoa (I think), sugar and water mixed until it was paste like and spread it on bread. As gross as it sounds....its was pretty good.

One was bananas mashed with peanut butter, a little bit of condensed milk, and put between two slices of bread to make a sandwich!
