Is it ok to take vitamin tablets if they're a couple of months out of date?!

Question: I know the best before date is there for a reason, but would it really make that much difference? They're only tiny, would they still work?

I work for a company that supplies supplements, and my boss - a pharmacist - often gives vitamins that are rapidly approaching their sell by to staff and their family/friends. He tells us that they are good for a further 6 months, but obviously we can't sell them and he doesn't like them to go to waste.

i don't see why not they won't work it never stopped my nan taking out of date vitamins they never done her any harm

They won't do you any harm, but neither will they do you any good - they will probably have lost their efficiency.

the effect the medicine is intended to do will be less, as it is out dated. But be careful with medicines always.

I think it would be ok but they probably have lost some effectiveness.

I would not even risk it!

i reckon its OK they just have to put a date to cover their own asses-but a few months should be fine-i do-

I wouldn't do it, the effect most likely wouldn't work and you could harm yourself by taking them, even if they are only a little over date I wouldn't do it, go to a Pharmacy or Shop for some more.

NO!
