Making hotdogs?!

Question: I took frozen hotdogs out of my freezer and put it in a pot half filled with water then put it on medium heat.... did I do it right? all it says is "Stove: 4-5 min" does that mean after it's boiling, or once it gets in there..... hahaha wow I feel so dumb.

thank you in advance!

thank you in advance!

boil the hotdog for 2min
put it on the bread
put the sauce on it
then eat it

as long as they are hot they are ok

put it in the boiling water until it starts bubbling and then take it out.

yea 4-5 after boiling

hotdogs are already cooked so dont woory about cooking them long enough they cant harm you so just cook to your liking---but yes it means when it is boiled

It would be easy er if you got a grill in your house.

That means 4-5 min. if they are already thawed. It's not a big deal though. Just boil them until they are hot and plump up. Sometimes they split or crack open. That is okay.

you could just grill it

hotdogs are already cooked when you buy them, so you can reheat them however you like. you can boil them on the stove, heat them in the microwave, cook them on the BBQ, or eat them cold.

my personal favourite way to eat them is to buy a roll of those Pillsbury croissants and rap the dough around the hotdogs and then cook them in the oven inside the croissants. they are like homemade Pogos, or "pigs in a blanket"

Almost all hot dogs are precooked before you get them, therefore you are basically cooking them however hot you want. Also, for future reference, you never want to have have a hard boil when cooking hot dogs, meaning you don't want crazy bubbles in the water. You want to simmer your hot dogs, which looks like slow burps in the water with a steady stream of bubbles climbing up the sides. This will prevent your hot dogs from ripping open and maintain their shape.

The best way to cook hot dogs, frozen or not frozen is by broiling them. They taste like they're from the grill. =)

Hotdogs are pre-cooked. I used to eat them right out of the fridge, it can't make you sick. As long as the water has made the doggie hot throughout, you are good to eat it! :)

just until it is warm. or you can try the microwave, i think thats how the "fat" gets off it but im no expert.

I have done the same thing. I just make sure that it is well cooked.

frozen hot dogs may take longer to boil i would say keep them on till it boils, hot dogs plump up and throw un extra one in and cut in half when you think there done see if it is warm all the way through if not microwave it for 30 sec. forking it is not good or bad all it dose is release the pressure and juices it really only matters with a good sausage.
