Well arent you a sweet girlfriend......I dont know where you live or what season it is, but ..... for a romantic picnic you dont want to have to eat off a plate with a knife and fork...finger food / sharing food is better.

Why not go to your local deli and look for interesting crackers and pita breads as well as olives, semi sundried tomatoes, salamis, marinated mushrooms, cheese, and tapenades or dips. If you tell the assisant what you are doing they wont mind at all you buying just of couple of each which you can arrange on a small platter. If you dont mind cooking you could marinate and cook some chicken wings the night before and serve cold (dont forget napkins). If your boyfriend likes fruit then what about fresh fruit (theres always the classic strawberries with chocolate dipping sauce!!). Search the internet for non alcoholic punches.

Just remember to enjoy the whole experience and im sure your boyfriend will be touched by your effort and thought.

Anything you'd love eating.. but no dairy products (including icecream!) or anything else that could leave a foul smell in your mouths! =P

Good luck!

I think it will be the thought that counts more than anything...you're 15 so in the front yard is still cute and romantic! I would say the easier the better...just remember sticky foods bad...(ants, bugs, bees)! So stick to the basics, sandwiches, cut into slices, fresh fruit, mini bags of chips, any drink will work but if is more of a romantic setting use wine glasses and grape juice...candles...just be yourself!

I think it's not the food that matters but more the way you arrange it.
