Eating raw meat? pro's and con's?!
i just want to know what are the pro's and con's of eating raw meat?
also what the worst that can happen if you eat raw meat?
Answers: i dont think eating raw meat like chicken and beef can kill you.

The two questions that have to be asked here is what can make make you sick and possibly ill and how did it get into your meat in the first place ?
Utilizing HACCP protocols rewind the process of how the meat went from being part of a living critter to winding up on your cutting board and ask yourself at what point in that progression did the meat become contaminated with nasty little critters of various sizes and shapes ? If you can't find such a point then the meat is safe to eat in it's raw state
If for instance I catch a salmon that is free swimming and living in clean water , assuming that my hands and knife are clean and sanitized there is no logical reason why i can't eat that fish raw
The same thing goes with a steak .If the butcher's hands and tools were clean when he cut that steak then there is simply no good reason why it can't be eaten raw
The pro's are that things like raw clams and oysters and rare steaks and burgers and lamb chops taste great
The cons are that some products if the are mishandled can get you really sick and possibly kill you -or at least make you wish that you were dead and that as a rule raw animal proteins -especially the mammalian ones -are harder to digest than cooked ones are

Salmonella from raw chicken.
Eating raw meat CAN kill you. Salmonella being the primary cause. It can also give you worms which won't necessarily kill you but will make life miserable.
Not a good idea to eat raw meat.
You can end up dying, basically. I say there are no pro's!

well i suggest conducting an experiment on yourself...
but yeah there are pros and cons...
cons:-
intestinal parasites, tapeworms, salmonella and whole plethora of diseases which will affect your stomach and brain...
pros:-

I don't eat raw chicken, but I do eat raw beef (steak tartare) and raw fish (sashimi). But you must be sure both are extremely fresh and have been refrigerated properly and prepared in a hygienic way. The worst that can happen is that you could get sick or a lower track attack if both are not handled correctly. People in other countries eat both all the time.
this reminded me of the show wife swap. there was a family on there who ate EVERYTHING raw-eggs, chicken, beef.. they didnt cook anything. to my surprise they were healthy (or seemed to be) their body probly just builds an immunity to any thing they could catch from eating raw meat. which in my opinion, is kind of a good thing. but not for me! i cook my meat.

2- Savage use to eat it but they left it in order to become civilised person, if once again you want to go back than keep on eating raw meat. Going back will mean going back to your mother's womb.
3- you will once again, become beast. Have you not heard the story of ' wolf boy ' or 'MOWGLI' and if you want to look like that than keep on eating raw.
Raw meat has parasites and bacteria in them that are only killed by cooking them. I wouldn't suggest eating raw meat...........O, and hi from a fellow seminole countian....
