What's the difference between Lactaid and soy milk?!

Question: I am trying to do something about my gas. to that end, I seemed it wise to cut back on the amount of milk that I consume. From what I can tell, soy milk seems like it is more nutritious than Lactaid. However, I cannot tell if soy milk contains substances that cause gas. So, could you plese tell me what the meaningful differences between the two are? Thank you for your assistance.

Lactaid is an enzyme that helps break down milk sugars, Lactose.

Lactain also sell a milk that has been treated with the enzyme.
The milk is regular cow's milk, but the lactose content should be close to zero.

Soy milk is "milk" made from soy beans, thus does not contain Lactose.

If you're gas is caused by a lactose intolerance, then Lactaid treated milk should work be okay as well as soy milk since there is very little lactose in those products.
