How long can Salmon be in the fridge after thawing?!

Question: I have some salmon I bought at TJ's. I put it in the fridge on sunday night to thaw it, now it's thursday night. Can salmon be in the fridge for 4 days? It's very squishy but it smells fine. (And I've smelled bad salmon before.) Should I eat it?

The health department allows restaurants to keep seafood under refrigeration (and packed in ice) for 7 days. Yes, by all means, eat it. It will be fine. Trust me, if the salmon was bad, you would be able to smell it.

I wouldn't, if it had been cooked it would have lasted longer.
Sorry :-(
