As per Merriam Webster Dictionary a "Cucumber is the 'fruit' of the vine of the gourd family which is cultivated as a garden vegetable",

So...it's both!!!!

I think it's a fruit because a vegetable is usually the herbaceous leaves of a plant.

Fruit
1-A pickle is a cucumber
2-It has seeds
3-it is in the gourd family
4-the gourd family includes cucumber, melon, squash, & pumpkin.
5-The family it belongs to are all fruits.

Good Luck

It depends what is pickled.
If it was a fruit before pickling, it is a fruit after.
Same with vegetables, eggs and pigs feet.

A pickle is made from a cucumber, which is a fruit because it has seeds.

if youre talking about an actual pickle, and not pickled stuff, a pickle is a vegetable. pickles are just cucumbers, they just taste dill or sweet.

i guess you would have to see a pickle as a vegetable because

1.) they are made from a cucumber
2.) they are grown in vegetable gardens nation wide

i can't think of anymore reasons

if you're talking about a regular ordinary pickle then it's a vegetable because it's a CUCUMBER ....
