Cornbread or corn cake? Do you put sugar in it to make it sweet or not?!

Question: I always add just a pinch of sugar.

Answers: I always add just a pinch of sugar.

Cornbread. Yes.

The amount of sugar is dependent on how sweet you wish it to be. A normal pan of corn bread not so sweet takes about 1/3 cup of sugar. and a half cup for a sweeter taste.
Jonny cake would be a good sweet cornbread cake recipe.

No, I don't but my sister and father do.

yes i use about a teaspoon of sugar in a pan of cornbread

you can put a little sugar if you want to, but you dont have to.my dad would cause he said that the sugar helped it to get the bottom a bit crunchier

I put a small can of creamed corn in mine. It makes it moist and sweet.
