Middle Eastern Lentil Soup?!

Question: Hello.

I had this soup at a diner today. It was vegetarian, and had potatos, celery, I THINK carrots and cinnamon.

It was very good and I'd like to be able to make it myself... but more so, I wanted to know the name of the dish in it's native tongue. I THOUGHT it was "harra" or something but I'm not sure.

Help?

There's a vegetarian dish called batata harra :p.

The only lentil soup I've seen is called shorbat adas (or lentil soup) and it has red lentils and a mix of vegies like celery and carrot.

It contains cumin?
