Can you pre-make coconut shrimp and not cook them for a few hours?!

Question: Will they get soggy? or? The way I make them is I dip cooked shrimp into egg, then flour, then coconut. Then bake obviously. So can I do all this and put them in the frig on a baking sheet for 5 hours before baking?

How else would we ever be able to do a formal dinner?? and have everything ready at the same time so we can enjoy our party??

I do most of the prep work the day before and stash everything ready to cook in the fridge. That way the "Cook is not Frazzled" at party time.

Place them on a baking rack rather than right on the cookie sheet, it will allow the air to circulate around the coating. Then place in the fridge. Place them on an oiled baking sheet right before baking and they will be nice and crisp when you bake them
