i am india and working as chef in the hotel,, as per my experience there is no yellow rice but we ll cook one dish that is called yellow rice and that is in south it has nice flavour no doubt it ,,, the best brand here in india is lal mahal, kohinoor basmati rice which has strong flavour and if u wana cook this rice then i am sending you the rercipie ok friend

Ingredients:
2 cups basmati rice
2 tablespoons ghee (or oil)
1 stick (2" size) cinnamon
2 whole cloves
4 cardamom seeds
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
2 dried chilies
salt to taste
1/2 cup frozen peas
3 cups water


Directions:

Rinse rice in two changes of water!. Allow to rest, covered in fresh water, for about an hour!. Drain well!. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pot, add whole spices, salt, and turmeric!. Add well drained rice and stir until rice begins to turn opaque!. Add water and peas!. Bring to a boil, turn down heat to medium-low and cover pot until rice is tender, about 20 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It'll more than likely be pilau or basmati rice flavoured with tumeric which gives it a deep yellow colour and a lot of flavour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
