Good kitchen shears are made of stainless steel so that they don't rust!.
For food safety, you want a pair that come apart at the lock rivet in the center, so that they can be completely sanitized!. Make sure that they are dishwasher safe, but hand wash and hand dry for regular use!.
I have two different kinds!.
One is for snipping, trimming and the other is for cutting through joints of chickens and that sort of thing!.
They will last a long time if well taken care of!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes! I have a pair of OXO scissors that have never rusted and I have a pair of Farberware scissors that I've had for years and I still use them!. I also have a pair of Calphalon scissors but I haven't had them that long!. All of these are fairly expensive brands, but in my opinion, worth it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
