I saw this question come up nearly a half an hour ago!. I didn't answer because I'm not familiar with Portillos!. In fact, I'm not familiar with Chicago (even though my father was born there)!.

But I don't like seeing a question go unanswered!. So here goes!. I live in San Jose, California!. San Jose is the wasteland of hot dog culture!. There is a joint that serves a decent dog!. It's named Mark's Hot Dogs!. The only other place in the Bay Area is Casper's!. But it's fallen on hard times!. In the '60s, they made a dog to die for!. Not anymore!.

But chicken!? I go to a single A minor league baseball game!. The San Jose Giants play at Municipal Stadium!. You can get a chicken apple sausage sandwich that is VERY good!. It's on a French roll, and their condiment bar has brown mustard!. Fine eating!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use to visit Chicago all the time!. I have lots of relatives and friends there!. I lived there for two years, long before you were ever born!. I haven't heard of Portillos, but there is a hotdog place in St!. Louis, MO (the former hometown of Ike & Tina Turner's) call Woofies!. At Woofies, those hotdog artists knows how to turn a simple hotdot into a work of art, a masterpiece! That's no lie! You will think that you're eating at a five star restaurant!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
