I'd rather eat something natural, harmless and creepy-sounding than something artificial, unhealthy and unpronounceable!. I think the food industry should not be so vague regarding "natural flavour" and "artificial flavour" but at least humans can process most natural substances!. Most of the chemicals in the food we eat cannot be processed by the human body and cause more problems than bugs and bones ever will!.

And honestly, bacteria are not always a bad thing!. Sometimes we need bacteria (for digestion, for example) and humans are pretty resilient to bacteria that can harm them!. Human bites are among the worst bites of any animal because the human mouth has so many bacteria in it!. You'd be surprised how many fecal bacteria are on your toothbrush right now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, it sure as Hell beats Brussel Sprouts!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not surprised!. We really don't know whats in our food everyday!. I already knew about the bones though!. It's in the ground beef and pork!. Have you ever chewed a hard piece in your burger!? Spaghetti!? Lasagna!? Hot dog!? Guess what it was!? Not really specific on where the bugs come in, but I know, one time, i found a small beetle in my hamburger bun that I got from a popular restaraunt!.!.!.!.!.!. (The beetle looked JUST LIKE the ones in the article too)

Oh, I just read your link, and most of those things don't bother me, I've been watching Bizarre foods with andrew zimmern so its not new to me!. People in different countries eat these things all the time, its regular cuisine there, except for the added viruses part, but there are already bacteria and viruses in our mouths and on our bodies so, not to big of a deal I guess!. Unless you grow your own veggies and raise your own cattle/piggies, then your gonna get weird additives!.!.!.!.!.!.!. Its the american way!. I did notice a glimpse of hope at the end of the article though, they mentioned subway was ok, I've been eating subway everyday, faithfully for the past 5 or 6 years, YAY me!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ewwwwww!. Well in a way it's no suprise however!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I take issue with the "vagueness" of some ingredient listings!.!.!.especially "modified milk ingredients" --- why don't they tell us its LACTOSE ! and save a lot of trouble for lactose intolerant people, a very significant portion of the population!. They want to obfuscate the truth, so they can sell more to more people, even people who will be harmed by it!.
Its also not fair to secretly put things like horse tallow in foods for kind-hearted vegetarians!. That's awful ! and bugs in foods, is not nice to think about, hopefully they're not poisonous to any degree as many are!.!.!.I know there are government regulations limiting the quantity of tiny bits of bugs in cereals, it can be there unintentionally too!.

I agree with the other answerer though, maybe we need to be much more alarmed by the chemicals they put in foods, like msg, tsp , yes TSP (trisodium phosphate) in your cereals like Cheerios to keep it crunchy, but TSP will give you heartburn, "acid reflux" and digestive tract lining damage, its the same chemical that is sold in hardware stores as a heavy duty cleaner in the paint department!.!.!. must wear rubber gloves to handle it, but its in your Cheerios cereal to eat ! and aspartame!.!.!. wow ! google it , start learning before your brain gets too damaged by it !Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you visited a third world country you will see where people are glad to get anything to eat!. I have never been but I've read books written by Americans who have done it!. Very interesting but I prefer to stay home, save resources and travel in my armchair and let other person experience it for me!.

As far as what I might be getting in my food, if it doesn't make me sick I'm OK with it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yup!.!.don't forget the mouse droppings and what-not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
