OLD SETTLER’S BEANS
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 lb!. ground beef
1/2 lb!. bacon
1 chopped onion
Brown in skillet and drain excess grease!.
ADD:
16 oz!. can Red Kidney Beans (drained)
24 oz!. can Pork & Beans (drained)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup Catsup
2 TBLS!. Molasses
1/2 tsp!. dry mustard
Mix Thoroughly !
Cook in a crock pot until!.!.!.hot!.!.!.hot!.!.!.hot!
OR:
24 oz!. can Pork & Beans (drained)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup Catsup
2 TBLS!. Molasses
1/2 tsp!. dry mustard
1lb!. smk!. sausage (cut in bite size pieces)
large can of pineapple chunks (drained)

1 large can of bush`s baked beans!.!. 1/4 cup ketchup,1 tablespoon mustard, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup BBQ sauce, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon steak sauce, crumbled bacon and sauteed onions!.!.!.!.do not use bacon bits as these are freeze dried pieces of bacon!.!. use real cooked bacon!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sometimes I fry some bacon bits and then add the beans and some maple syrup or a little barbeque sauce!.!. mmm!.!. fantabulosa!!!

If you use a med-large can, and you have to start with Bush's beans,original recipe, they are the best, then I add about 1 TBS ketchup, 1 TBS brown sugar (you can use splenda brown sugar too) and then just let it simmer on low for a while, let the flavors blend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
