Lemon?????!

Question: Lemon!?!?!?!?!?
is lemon curd and lemon custered the same thing!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Lemon curd is an English dessert spread!. While I'm sure you could smear it on anything, I've always eaten it and seen it served on an English muffin, bread or toast in place of jam!. It's very tart and has a stronger, more intense lemon flavor than custard!. It's also not served by itself like a custard often is!.

Custard, on the other hand, is more like a pudding, is served on its own as a dessert and not something you'd spread on bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no lemon curd and custard are different, as custard contains cream and curd doesnt

both recipes are here

wutz lemon curd!?!?!?!? its pretty close to lemon turd!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

http://www!.joyofbaking!.com/LemonCurd!.htm!.!.!.

Lemon Curd does not use exotic ingredients; just eggs, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and unsalted butter!. It is similar to a lemon filling or custard in that it is cooked on the stove!.

http://allrecipes!.com/recipe/lemon-custa!.!.!.

In a large saucepan or double boiler combine sugar, cornstarch and salt!. Mix well!. Beat the egg yolks and water together, then whisk into sugar mixture!. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened!. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and butter!. Cover with plastic wrap until completely cooled!.

The only difference I see is the cornstarch used as part of the thickener in the custard!. Cooking methods are the same, remaining ingredients are the same!. Use of the finished product is the same!.

There is so little difference as to be negligible! So they are mostly the same product!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
