Answers:
Good question and quite complicated ( unless your a real cheese person)!.
As you know, real Camemberts all come in 8 oz!.boxes!.
Real brie ( such as "Fromage de Meaux) come in 6lb wheels!.
Here's where it's complicated!.
If you walk into a supermarket( and not a real cheese store) you will see both Bries and Camemberts in both denominations!. You will see both 8oz Bries and 4 or 5 lbs Camemberts( real Camembert from Normandy is not produced in this shape or form)!.
So what's real and what's not!?
Claudel for instance makes 8 oz Bries and Camemberts and they're exactly the same cheese in a different colored box!.

Brands play a big role here!.
That being said, if I had lets say Chatelain Camembert and Brie de Meaux!.
I would probably go with the Meaux!. But it's close!.
They both have an earthy mushroomy aroma, and a superb flavor!.
Close call here, both ( when you get the real deal) are very similar!.
Yes, I'll say Brie de Meaux over Normandy Camembert!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Camembert - a little more flavour than the very bland gooey brieWww@FoodAQ@Com

i don't like either, SO WHAT!Www@FoodAQ@Com

camembert

brie has the microbial extract from calve stomach's and i am a vegetarian (not vegan) for moral reasonsWww@FoodAQ@Com

I like both, in fact I really like most cheese!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Brie!.!.camembert is stronger - stronger smell and taste, but with a good red wine, it is good too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I personally like Camembert better, it seems to be more buttery than Brie!. It also seems to spread better than Brie, easier when serving guests (or guests are serving themselves!.) But both are fine choices, very tasty!.

Peace!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i like the extra tasty crumbly soft kind
whatever that is haha but i like the sound of camambert sounds like a knight from the round table so ill go with that oneWww@FoodAQ@Com

They taste pretty well the same to me, but some Camembert is too strong, so I would have to go with Brie!. It goes nicely with fruit, like grapes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
