yes that happens to me i just eat an apple after i get hungryWww@FoodAQ@Com

because if you're eating rice it just expands in your tummy and it's not the amout that makes you full but the rice or the noodles!.!.!.
yes chinese food is the bestWww@FoodAQ@Com

because the chinese food that you get in restaurants is filled with sodium and MSG, along with the fact that there is hardly any fiber if you get something like fried rice and orange chicken!. it's not very healthy!. also, they serve you huge portions!. you bring the leftovers home, and you feel like you haven't really eaten so much, so you eat it then!. now if you get something like brown rice, and peppered-chicken w/mushrooms and broccoli, and tea and maybe a hot and sour soup before the meal, you probably won't feel so hungry later!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I found the answer in something written by Professor Huang Shu-Min of Iowa State University!. "A Cross-Cultural Experience: A Chinese Anthropologist in the United States"!. It appears to be from personal experience!. He describes feeling hungry not long after eating a western meal!.

It's probably caused by what your body is accustomed to -- the difference between the high protein western diet as compared to the starchy eastern diet of rice, bean products and vegetables!.

If your body is used to getting a certain amount of proteins then it expects to get it before it's satisfied!. Conversely, if your body is accustomed to a high carbohydrate diet, a high protein diet it will not satisfy it very long!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
