Is it possible for oatmeal to mold?!


Question: Is it possible for oatmeal to mold!?
because I just opened a new package of Bob Red Mill's 5 grain cereal and some of the oats in it have a green tint!. Does this mean that the oats have gone moldy!?!?!?!? The date on the package saids that it expires in 2009!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If there was any moisture in the box even at manufacturing it could happen!. Throw it away just incease!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes it is possible you can take it back to the store if you just bought it and exchange it if it has a green tint to it I would not chance getting sick its not worth itWww@FoodAQ@Com

If the product was not stored properly then it could be tainted!. Don't take any chances on it!. There should be a website or 800 number on the package!. Contact them or return to your grocer for exchange and check new product for any compromise before you make the trip home with it!.
