According to my husband, recipes are a guideline!. Cooking is sort of a work in progress with him!. I'm more anal and measure everything exactly!. In the end, I don't think it matters which way something has been prepared except that if it turns out good, it is hard to replicate when you have cooked it "free-style"!.
Nice to see you're back!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no ,,not at all,,,,, wen ever we cook we never see the guidelines cause in the end we want tasty food ,,,,so it hardly matters ,,, recipies will guide u the steps of cooking rest u have to go ,,,Www@FoodAQ@Com
Guideline!. If you know what you're doing then you can adjust the recipe to fit your needs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The usual idea is to follow it closely the first time and then change it to suit yourself!. I've never heard of Posole', but it WILL matter if it's teaspoon to tablespoon!. Think how the salt would affect it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Baking I try to be a bit more precise (though I play around with that too, eg!. cut back on sugar if it seems excessive), because baking is more like chemistry!. Cooking dinner, on the other hand, I see more as art - no 2 creations are the same, and they change to match my mood and my available ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
