UK people - how much do you spend on food?!

Question: UK people - how much do you spend on food!?
Family of four - two adults, two children - we don't eat out or eat junk!. I try to buy healthy stuff - fruit 'n' veg etc!.

How much would you say is reasonable to spend on food each week!? I think I'm spending about £100 - perhaps a little more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
yes I spend around the same amount I thought i was the only one I think its far to much,

if we did not have to eat we would be rich, I'm constantly running out of fruit, veg, bread and milk & find myself going in to the big stores 2/3 times a weekWww@FoodAQ@Com

2 of us apx £120 worth of food will keep us 3 weeks!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

£100 seems about on the money to me!.

I try to buy fruit veg and meat locally, and the rest from the supermarket!.

Not neccessarilly cheaper, just a more pleasant experience!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Two adults & we spend on food about £25!.!.!.!.!.that is on healthy stuff!.!.!.!.meat veg etc!. but we do shop around & get BOGOF!.!.!.or 2 for one!. Somerfields & Asda are good!. My husband loves a bargain, all due to my training, & gets lots of them, £100 seems a lot to me!. You need to shop around!. Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think £100 is pretty reasonable! I think our family spends about £200 and there are 6/7 of us (boyfriend of my sister lives here a bit too)
So yeah!. I think that is fine! Specially if you're not buying junk, it's a trap you can easily fall into as junk is cheap and okay tasting but not good for the health!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I spend 20 -25, it is just me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I spend about £80 and there is only two of us, this doesn`t include take aways, we don`t have these often I prefer home made foodWww@FoodAQ@Com
