Both! Don't waste leftovers - they can usually be used in something else!.
Eg: last night had pork pot roast - marinaded in cider/white wine/honey and other stuff!.!.!. lots of thin sweet sauce from it, so used a little in glazing the roast veggies, a little to cook the peas, then the rest in a big pot of soup - roasted carrots, parsnips, sweet potato and onion and pureed them up with the leftover sauce and some extra chicken stock, yoghurt and lemon juice!. It's lovely, and will do me for lunch for a few days!.
The leftover pork (there's only 2 of us so we ate about 2/3 of it) will be fricasseed tonight in some of the reserved sauce and an extra cup of gravy - this will stretch it a bit further over mashed potato, perhaps with roast apples and honey-glazed carrots alongside!.
That's 2 dinners and about 4 lunches, and no waste!Www@FoodAQ@Com
